Southern Scenic Route

Catlins Coast

The Southern Scenic Route links Fiordland, Invercargill and Dunedin. You pass through the Catlins with its abundance of wildlife: sealions, seals, penguins and dolphins. The clear air, wild scenery and incredibly long twilight, during summer at this deep southern latitude make photography a larger than life experience! Photographic expeditions to this part of New Zealand are becoming more popular and tours can be arranged for enthusiasts.
